Vacancy for an Appointed Council Member
The Cameron Fund is the GP’s own Charity, the only medical benevolent fund that
solely supports general practitioners and their dependents. We provide support to GPs and their families in times of financial need, whether through ill-health, disability, death or loss of employment. We help those who are already suffering from financial hardship and those who are facing it.
We currently have a vacancy for on an Appointed Council Member (Trustee) on our Council of Management. Eighteen of our Council Members are elected on a regional basis but the Council is able to appoint two members each year who have other skills and experience that may be of help to the Fund. To complement the skills of our existing Trustee Board, the ideal candidate will have experience of supporting GP Registrars and Early Years GPs and/or experience of providing professional support to people experiencing domestic violence. We are also seeking to improve the diversity of our Trustee Board so that it is more representative of the GP community.
Please see Background information on the role plus a more detailed Role Description.
Applicants need to be eligible for membership of the Cameron Fund – ie registered or formerly registered GPs who have provided primary care services to the NHS or UK armed forces.
